# Integration Flow

The VIDA Digital signature service helps partners confirm the identity of their users by checking the information provided by the user. The process starts with verify the identity of their users by checking the information provided by the user. The service then checks to make sure the user has the necessary permissions to access the verification process and establishes a secure connection.

Once the authentication is established, the service performs a series of checks and validations on the provided information to verify the user's identity. The service checks if the user's input meets the required format and standards, performs a liveness check to make sure the user is a live person, and checks if the user hasn't exceeded their allotted rate limit for API requests.

The final step of the verification process involves comparing the user's information against official government records and performing a face match analysis.

## Verification Process

The identity verification process involves three main methods: Demographic Verification, Selfie Photo Verification, and Liveness Detection. Each of these method combines to produce an outcome which results in `certificateIssued` field.

The certificateIssued field in the response will contain a three-digit code

* **`200` - Success**: All three verification methods were successfully completed, indicating a successful identity verification.
* **`440` - In Progress**: The verification process is currently underway(In Progress), with manual agents verifying the face match and demographic information. The final status will be determined upon completion of this process.
* **`444` - Failed - Verification Failed**: The verification has failed in one or more of the above methods, resulting in a failure to issue the certificate.
* **`443` - Failed - Cert Issuance Failed**&#x20;

### **Liveness Detection Score**:&#x20;

This method checks if the submitted selfie is live or a pre-recorded image, along with additional image checks and generates a score from 0 to 1, with a threshold score of 0.95 for verification. A score of 0.95 or below is considered a success, while a score above 0.95 is considered a failure.
