# API V3

## Overview

The Liveness V3 Status API standardizes `scoreName` values across all liveness types (Basic/Active Liveness and Smart Liveness/Color Flash). Prior to v3, score names differed depending on the liveness type used in a transaction, which could break client-side parsing logic that expected a single naming convention.

v3 does not replace v2 - both versions are supported in parallel. v2 remains frozen and fully backward-compatible; clients are not required to migrate.
