# iOS SDK

VIDA's SDK combines **OCR, document verification, liveness detection, and face match** in a single verification flow, with a consistent UI across **Android, iOS, and Web**.

{% hint style="success" %}
**One integration, one result.** Users complete the entire flow inside the SDK, and your app receives a single structured response.
{% endhint %}

### Capabilities

<table><thead><tr><th width="238.60546875">Capability</th><th>What it does</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>OCR</strong></td><td>Extracts document fields as structured, machine-readable data</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Document Verification</strong></td><td>Checks image quality, detects tampering, and classifies the document</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Liveness Detection</strong></td><td>Confirms that a real, live person is present</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Face Match</strong></td><td>Compares the selfie with the photo on the document</td></tr></tbody></table>

### How it works

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Guided capture

When the camera opens, the SDK gives users real-time guidance on screen. Capture happens automatically once the image meets the quality requirements.

<table><thead><tr><th width="304.796875">Prompt shown to user</th><th>Purpose</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><em>Move closer</em></td><td>Document is too small in the frame</td></tr><tr><td><em>Avoid glare</em></td><td>Reflection is obscuring document details</td></tr><tr><td><em>Rotate card</em></td><td>Document is not correctly aligned</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="info" %}
No capture button is needed. The SDK captures the image as soon as the quality gates are met.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Automated document checks

After capture, VIDA's backend runs the following checks:

* Blur and glare detection
* Tampering detection
* Document classification
* Front-and-back side comparison *(where required)*
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### OCR and user review

OCR extracts the document fields, and the SDK shows a **configurable review screen** where users can confirm the information before submitting.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Unified result

The SDK returns **a single structured response** to your application. Verification records can be viewed in the Dashboard.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Why use the SDK

{% columns %}
{% column width="33.33333333333333%" %}

#### 🎯 Higher quality input

Real-time guidance catches bad images before submission, reducing retakes and rejections.
{% endcolumn %}

{% column width="33.33333333333333%" %}

#### 🔁 Consistent integration

Flows and payloads are identical across Android, iOS, and Web, which simplifies development, testing, and support.
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}

#### ⚖️ Flexible risk control

Configurable thresholds and retry rules let you balance conversion against risk.

### Configuration

{% hint style="warning" %}
Thresholds and retry rules directly affect your conversion rate and fraud exposure. Test your settings in the sandbox before moving to production.
