Biometric Verification V2

The Biometric Verification API checks two things:

  1. Liveness Verification - is the person in the photo real, not a photo of a photo?

  2. Face Match Verification - does the face in the photo match a reference photo, usually an ID card?

To run a check, send a POST request to the endpoint below. List the operations you want in the operations field.

The API runs both operations together. But Face Match Verification needs a successful Liveness Verification first. If Liveness Verification fails, the API does not return a Face Match Verification result. This rule stops the API from matching a face to a photo of a photo, instead of a live person.

The API can also run a Blacklist Check. This check is off by default.

Biometric Verification and Document Verification (OCR) use the same endpoint. The operations field tells the API which check to run.
