# Biometric Verification

**Biometric Verification**

Biometric Verification is a comprehensive solution within the VIDA Verify API that ensures accurate and secure identity authentication through two core features: **Image Liveness Verification** and **Image Face Match Verification**.

* **Image Liveness Verification** ensures the presence of a live person during the authentication process. By analyzing subtle facial movements and real-time responses captured in a live selfie, it effectively distinguishes between a live individual and a static image. Advanced anti-spoofing techniques are employed to detect and prevent fraudulent attempts, ensuring the authenticity of the verification process.
* **Image Face Match Verification** enhances identity validation by comparing facial features extracted from two images, typically a selfie and an ID photo. Using sophisticated facial recognition algorithms and deep learning models, it examines distinct facial characteristics—such as the positioning of the eyes, nose, and mouth—to determine if both images belong to the same person. A successful match triggers a confirmation, reinforcing the accuracy of the verification process.

Together, these features provide a robust Biometric Verification system, offering high levels of security and reliability for user authentication.
