# Installation

## Windows

Here's a step-by-step guide for installing the eMeterai application on Windows:

### **Step 1: Download the Application**

1. Open your preferred web browser.
2. Navigate to the eMeterai download page or directly enter the link: <https://emeterai.vida.id/dl/VIDASIGN-Setup.exe>
3. The download should start automatically. If prompted, choose to save the file.

### **Step 2: Locate the Downloaded File**

1. Once the download is complete, go to your 'Downloads' folder or the location set for downloaded files in your browser.
2. Find the file named `VIDASIGN-Setup.exe`.

### **Step 3: Begin the Installation**

1. Double-click on the `VIDASIGN-Setup.exe` file. This will open the installation wizard.
2. If a security warning appears asking if you want to run the file, confirm by clicking 'Run'.

### **Step 4: Follow the Installer Prompts**

1. The installer will display setup instructions. Click 'Next' to proceed.
2. Review the license agreement. If you agree to the terms, select the 'I accept the agreement' option and click 'Next'.
3. Choose the installation location or use the default path provided. Click 'Next'.
4. Select any additional tasks (like creating a desktop shortcut) and click 'Next'.

### **Step 5: Install the Application**

1. Review your choices, then click 'Install' to begin the installation process.
2. The installer will now copy the required files. This may take a few moments.

### **Step 6: Complete the Installation**

1. Once the installation is complete, a confirmation message will appear.
2. Click 'Finish'. You may choose to launch the eMeterai application immediately if there's an option for it.

### **Step 7: Launch eMeterai**

1. If the application doesn’t start automatically, go to your 'Start Menu' or the installation directory.
2. Click on the eMeterai icon to open the application.

Congratulations! You have successfully installed the eMeterai application on your Windows computer. You're now all set to use the application for your digital stamping needs.

## MacOS

Here's a step-by-step guide for installing the eMeterai application on macOS:

### **Step 1: Download the Application**

1. Open your web browser and navigate to the eMeterai download page.
2. Click on the following link or copy-paste it into your browser's address bar: <https://emeterai.vida.id/dl/VidaSign-1.2.0.pkg>
3. The download will start automatically. Wait for the download to complete.

### **Step 2: Locate the Downloaded File**

1. Once the download is complete, navigate to your 'Downloads' folder, or the location where your browser saves downloaded files.
2. Find the file named `VIDASign-1.2.0.pkg`.

### **Step 3: Begin the Installation**

1. Right-click on the `VIDASign-1.2.0.pkg` file and click Open to open the installer.
2. Click Open on the alert popup.
3. A new window will appear, guiding you through the installation process.

### **Step 4: Follow the Installer Prompts**

1. Read the introductory information, then click 'Continue' to proceed.
2. Review the software license agreement. If you agree to the terms, click 'Continue', and then 'Agree' in the dialog that pops up.
3. Choose your preferred installation location if prompted, or proceed with the default location.
4. Click 'Install'. If required, enter your macOS user password to authorize the installation.

### **Step 5: Complete the Installation**

1. The installer will copy the necessary files to your system. Wait for the installation process to complete.
2. Once done, you will see a confirmation message saying that the installation was successful.
3. Click 'Close' to exit the installer.

### **Step 6: Launch eMeterai**

1. Go to your 'Applications' folder.
2. Find and double-click on the eMeterai application to launch it.
