# FAQ

**1. What is the difference between Fraud Ops and Conversion Ops?**\
Fraud Ops focuses on identifying and blocking fraudulent or spoofed identity attempts, while Conversion Ops helps genuine users who fail automated checks due to minor input issues complete verification through manual review.

**2. When is a verification sent to the Conversion Ops team?**\
If a user’s identity verification score is slightly below the automated acceptance threshold but still within a safe review band, it is sent to the Conversion Ops team for manual review.

**3. What triggers a Fraud Ops review?**\
Fraud Ops is triggered when AI models flag a session as potentially high-risk, such as borderline liveness results or spoofing patterns, requiring expert investigation.

**4. How long does manual review take?**\
Review times vary based on the agreed SLA . The final decision is sent via webhook or can be queried using the KYC Status API.

**5. Will users know if their verification is under manual review?**\
Yes, users will receive an "In Progress" status, allowing you to communicate clearly that their identity is being manually reviewed and avoid confusion or drop-offs.

**6. Does manual review compromise verification accuracy or compliance?**\
No. Manual reviews follow strict internal SOPs and use authoritative data sources, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while improving verification outcomes.

**7. Is manual review required for every user?**\
No. Manual review is only applied in specific edge cases, and most users are verified instantly through VIDA’s automated checks.
